Spring and Easter Decor

I know Easter has come and gone but I wanted to share some of my spring decorations.

This bird nest was in the top of the large pine tree we cut down in our backyard (to make room for the addition). I love it. I would like to keep it if I could find a bell jar large enough for it.

I am a thrift store addict and found some great Easter treasures at our local thrift store. These 12 inch bunnies were $1 each. I took off the ugly ribbons on them and replaced them with more neutral colors. I also took the rabbit off the pole and cut a couple inches off of it. It is just the right height now.

This little moss and chicken wire bunny was also a buck.

These little bunnies were also 50 cents each. But the tags on the bottom say $2.50 from Pier One Imports.

I love spring time and new life. I especially love decorating with bird houses, nests and eggs.

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!!

  2. Wow, your upgrades on you home are wonderful. We also bought our current house 9 years ago. I saw the potential of what it could be...my husband saw "WORK". And work he has done. We added a 600 sq. ft. addition last year that included a new kitchen (not cheap by the way).
I also had him include a food storage room, which is my favorite part of the addition. We are currently re-configuring walls to change our home from a 1 bathroom (with only a shower, not even a tub) into a 2 bathroom home.
When this project is through I will be posting the finised product. I have already posted some the of the beginning photos.

I am glad I found your blog, we seem to have alot in common. I will be adding you to my favorite blogs, and I look forward to many more posts from you.

By the way, I live in western Washington so we are distant neighbors.

Sorry about such a long post, I will try to keep any future ones shorter

    Your new blog friend,
    Connie
